Black belt grading recap

On Sunday three of our students went for their next black belt degree. Our instructor Billy went for his third degree, Luke and Mihalis both went for their second degree black belt. As usual we were joined by our friends the Northern Dragons, who attended with around 20 students of their own. Having students from a different school in the grading ensures that all students have to prove their techniques against unfamiliar opponents.

The grading expands over three hours of intense training. All aspects of our curriculum are covered, including technical demonstrations, self-defence, sparring and board breaking. Our three students did an excellent job in demonstrating their skills and received a well deserved new belt from Master Craig.

Besides the three students who tested for their belt a number of Crow students attended for their trial grading. Master Craig was very happy with the overall performance and the talent pool of future black belts at Crow Martial Arts.
